Power-Up Panels is a mini-game found in every red Toad House. Each player can only fire a cannon once, and each balloon can only be popped once. Each player will win 1-Ups equal to the total value of the balloons his or her character hits and pops. Players must then press 2 to fire the cannon. To play this game, the players must each choose a cannon, then tilt the Wii Remote to change the angle with which their characters will be fired out of the cannon. Each world has a different configuration of tracks and 1-Up balloons. Moving on the tracks are balloons worth different numbers of 1-Ups. The game is played in a room with tracks floating above four cannons. U † Exclusive to New Super Luigi U # Exclusive to New Super Mario Bros.1-Up Blast is a minigame found in every green Toad House. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. Iron Blocks retain the aforementioned roles in New Super Mario Bros. Additionally, the 4×4 variant features Bowser's emblem on its visible face. They appear in Roy's Conveyor Castle in the former and in Roy's Ironclad Castle and P Switch Peril in the latter. U and New Super Luigi U, where their behavior is largely unchanged from New Super Mario Bros. Iron Blocks return in New Super Mario Bros. They appear only in World 4-, where they are the gimmick of the level. Iron Blocks come in four different variants, all of which are a combination of widths 2–4 and heights 2–4, and getting crushed by a falling Iron Block results in an immediate loss of life. They are characterized as boxes moved by Conveyor Belts, and they are sometimes infinitely spawned by characteristically defined generators. Iron Blocks first appear in New Super Mario Bros.
